Traffic and Competition
No assignment today
Today was about understanding the differences between an “exact match”, “phrase match” and “Broad Phrase Match”. The important part was to use phrase match when looking at competition and Broad Phrase Match when looking at Traffic. This will be put to use later in the week.
Since the video was only 11 minutes long, I have 19 minutes for self-motivation
“If men could regard the events of their own lives with more open minds, they would frequently discover that they did not really desire the things they failed to obtain.” ~André Maurois
When I think back to all the things I’ve wanted and not received, I have to admit that I can’t recall a single “want” that accompanied a “burning desire” that I didn’t obtain. I’ve always wanted to lose weight. However, the only time I actually lost a significant amount of weight on purpose was when I thought about it all the time. That is the type of desire that ensures success.
I know many of you can think of occasions when you “desired” something but never got it. To those I ask this question… Can you desire two things at the same time that are opposed to one another? I know I can. I can desire to lose weight and eat fried food. Which ever I desire more, is the one I obtain.
If I don’t continually feed the flames of desire for the things that better my life, I’ll become distracted by the small desires that come up during the day. We each have only so much fuel. What I choose to spend it on will determine what I get.
“We judge others by their behavior. We judge ourselves by our intentions.” – Ian Percy
It is time that I judge myself by the actions I take rather than the actions I intend to take.
